Community Based Peer-Led Intervention is a Children and adolescents living in the street, slums and homeless, become particularly vulnerable to substance use in such high risk circumstances. Also, the rate of help seeking behavior is low due to many factors like lack of family and community support compared to others. Vulnerable children/ adolescents at the age group 10 – 18 who are non users.

Objectives:

  • To assess substance use among adolescents in impoverished & marginalized communities.
  • Conduct primary prevention activities through awareness programs.
  • Engage in risk mitigation of substance use among children/ adolescent/youth by:
    • Preventing substance use
    • Delaying initiation of substance use

To provide awareness about referral and linkage to counseling, treatment and rehabilitation services for substance dependent adolescents identified in the community.
